What are the advantages of kraft paper bags compared to other paper bags?

1.Strength and Durability

Tough Material: Kraft paper bags are usually made of sulfate – needle pulp. The fibers of this kind of pulp are long and have high strength. Compared with ordinary paper bags, such as those made of straw pulp or recycled pulp, kraft paper bags are more better. Strong Abrasion Resistance: The surface of kraft paper bags is relatively rough but the texture is compact, so they can better resist external friction during handling and transportation. Compared with wax – coated shiny paper bags, although wax – coated paper bags can be waterproof to a certain extent, their surfaces are relatively smooth and are prone to scratches or tears when stacked or in contact with other objects, which affects the integrity of the paper bags. Kraft paper bags can better withstand these abrasions and ensure the safety of the items inside the packaging.

2. Environmental Performance

More Sustainable Raw Material Source: The main raw material of kraft paper bags is kraft paper, which usually comes from wood under sustainable forestry management. This source of wood is relatively reliable, and in forest management, the planting and cutting of trees are planned to ensure ecological balance. Some other paper bags may use recycled fibers. Although recycling is commendable, the quality and source of recycled fibers are uneven. This is because the fiber structure of kraft paper itself is relatively compact and can prevent water vapor from penetrating to a certain extent. Moreover, if the kraft paper bags are simply wax – coated, their moisture – proof performance can be further improved while still maintaining other advantages of kraft paper bags.
